Hailing from the hill country of South Texas, Vanessa Lynn Bird has been performing and entertaining audiences since the age of 8. She turned her part-time passion into a full-time endeavor in 2017, pairing up with Grammy nominated producer Mack Damon, and later Ilya Toshininsky in Nashville to record a six-song EP that includes material written by her and for her with a collection of pro songwriters.
She released her first single “Break Away” in the summer of 2017 and her second single “Castaway” in July 2018. She has been writing and preparing for the release of her first EP, “Burn Brighter”.
Vanessa also put together a touring band and has been performing all over Texas, including with the YOSA Philharmonic in San Antonio, headlining the NCAA Final Four pregame event, historic venues like Floore’s Country Store, and numerous festivals. To hone her craft, she’s immersed herself in the recording studio, guesting on numerous records, including Rich O’Toole’s “American Kid” (#5 on the US iTunes Country Album Chart) and his #1 single, “God & George Strait”. Vanessa was recently nominated as a finalist for the 2018 TCMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
