) to sing a song; Oscar
then got him an audition with the Latin Breed

drummer Richard Soliz laugh, since on the stage there was only a microphone. He stayed with the Latin Breed
for about a year. He then got an audition with David Lee Garza y los Musicales
, and sang with Garza
for two and a half years. He then started his solo career in the mid-'90s, getting the best musicians in the Tejano Music industry for his band. His band is known as "the Band" and has won numerous awards for their studio work. His latest, All of Me
, was released in 2006.
Ever since Marcos was a child he has had a true passion for music. His love for music wasn't a phase, because he continued to play music throughout the years and is now one of Tejano music's most known artists. Every day he works hard in composing new music and writing new songs, which is his life and passion.
His career began as the lead vocalist for Los Fabulosos Cuatro in 1989. He recorded three CDs with them; Alma Rota, Simplemente Fabulosos, and On Our Own. In 1993, Marcos joined David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales as their lead vocalist for six years. With Los Musicales, he recorded six CDs; Silver Edition, Ya Me Canse, Algo Diferente, Tejano Class, Tour 98, and Nadie Como Yo. Marcos also was Los Musicales' main songwriter. He wrote hits such as, "Para Ti", "Preciosa", "Tengo Ganas", and many others. While Marcos was with Los Musicales, he won a numerous amount of awards from the Texas Talent Musicians Association, BMI awards for his songs, "Tu Boca Roja" and "Una Noche Mas". He also received a Grammy nomination for the CD Nadie Como Yo. After Marcos recorded his last CD with Los Musicales, he became a soloist.
Marcos was the first artist to sign under Catalina Records. Shortly after he signed with Catalina Records, he formed his own group, Grupo Rebelde. In 2001, they released their first CD which was entitled Ahora Y Siempre Simplemente Marcos! Five of the songs were written by the talented Orozco. In 2002, Grupo Rebelde put out their second CD entitled A Mi Manera, which Marcos contributed three of the songs. Marcos released his third CD in 2003, and is entitled Paso a Paso which contains twenty of his greatest hits with Los Fabulosos Cuatro, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, and his group, Grupo Rebelde. Eight of the songs on Paso A Paso were written by Marcos. His fourth CD, Sentimientos, really showcases his versatile musical ability. Recently, Marcos Y Rebelde established their own indie record label, and since, OROMAR RECORDS has released Un Paso Mas, Asi Es El Amor & 100% Marcos Orozco.
After being nominated three times at the Tejano Music Awards for Most Promising Band, Grupo Rebelde finally achieved their goal and won at the 24th Annual Tejano Music Awards. A lot more is in store for Marcos Y Rebelde in the future. With the help of their families, the DJS, and especially you all, the fans, Marcos Y Rebelde will always stand strong!
